Dear list members:
The AAEP encourages productive and professional discussions on all of the Rounds and the General Discussion List. To keep the culture on our lists positive and beneficial for all, we like to recirculate the AAEP Rounds and General Discussion List Rules and Etiquette from time to time as a quick reference guide. If you have questions or need assistance with any of the Rounds or the General Discussion List, feel free to contact me direct at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is your forum to bring up a difficult case, discuss the culture of veterinary medicine or compare best practices with others that are faced with the same type of challenges that you are. Start the conversation today!

Raising the Standard in Horse Health
Dear Equitarians, Please don't forget that the Donkey Welfare Symposium will be at UC Davis, Oct. 26, 27 and 28. Besides a really excellent full day donkey behavior clinic (including low stress methods of doing veterinary procedures such as dentistry) on Oct. 26 there will also be speakers on donkey health and welfare issues from all over the world (the UK, Italy, Spain, Morocco, Tanzania, Zambia, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Pakistan, Indian, China, and Venezuela), including the wonderful and articulate Gigi Kay of the American Fonduk. There will be 10.5 CE credits available for veterinarians and RVT's (RACE approved) and an opportunity to meet and talk to people with whom you can collaborate on your next Equitarian mission. The price is little more that the two great dinners (barbecue Friday night and buffet Saturday, with open bar and LIVE MUSIC!) and the three breakfasts and lunches included in registration. Donkey people are fun and the worst that will happen is that you'll have a good time! The final schedule will be posted on the website (http://donkeywelfaresymposium.homestead.com) with registration through Whova at https://whova.com/portal/registration/donke_201810/.
